This extensive monograph of works spanning 60 years was produced to mark the 80th birthday of the Schwarzenberg-born artist Tone Fink. The challenge was to capture Tone's multifaceted oeuvre between two book covers. The artist and I share a love of paper, books and a penchant for the extraordinary. We also know the rules and feel a great desire to break them. The result reflects this attitude.
With its unusual structure, the publication is a reference to a friend and artist whose life and work also defy the usual conventions. For a special edition print run of 80 copies, the title motif was reproduced directly on the cover using a special 3D printing process. This may make the edition the first of its kind in the world.
