Peter Niedermair is a well-travelled, attentive observer with a refined sensitivity for the people he meets and an extensive knowledge of historical and social contexts. With great empathy, he relates his experiences, exciting encounters and cultural specificities in these personal travelogues. He often illustrates the texts with a fine pen stroke, provides cross-references to daily news reports or enriches them with literary quotations.
To emphasise the personal character of the work, all editions are produced in small print runs in “journal form” – with a high-quality design and bound by hand. In contrast, the layout is committed to a certain sense of practicality and objectivity.
