In her art, Renate Rosenbauer masterfully achieves a dynamic interplay between painting and drawing, balancing an intricate system of graphic and painterly elements, surface and line, stroke and colour, free gesture and precise placement while also negotiating chaos and order, movement and stillness, emotion and intellect, fugration and abstraction.
